has been banned for ‘encouraging dangerous driving’.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The short ad features a man who is involved in a high-speed car chase who crashes.<\/p>\n<p>However, as he makes an impact with the other driver, his caramel-coloured car is sandwiched on top of another, like a Twix.<\/p>\n<p>Following five complaints the advert was deemed ‘irresponsible’ and was pulled from the air.<\/p>\n<p>Mars-Wrigley own Twix, along with other confectionary brands such as Snickers, M&M’s and Milky Way.<\/p>\n<p>The company has claimed that the ad had a ‘cinematic presentation’ and was set in a ‘world that was absurd, fantastical and removed from reality’.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"646\" echoed by Clearcast, who is the non-governmental organisation that approves adverts.<\/p>\n<p>However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/advertising-standards-authority\/\">Advertising Standards Authority (ASA)<\/a> ruled that in its current form it ‘condoned unsafe driving’.<\/p>\n<p>ASA claimed that the first half of the video ‘appeared likely to breach the legal requirements of the Highway Code’ despite it featuring fantastical elements.<\/p>\n<p>An ’emphasis on speed’ as well as ‘visible skid marks’ also helped contribute to the decision to ban it.<\/p>\n<p>Mars defended the advert, saying the cars were ‘shot driving at lawful speeds and any emulation would only reflect the legal and safe driving presented’, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c5y5ez8189lo\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c5y5ez8189lo\">BBC <\/a>report.<\/p>\n<p>After the cars crash tagline which reads ‘two is more than one’.<\/p>\n<p>In the ASA official ruling, it tells Mars ‘not tocondone or encourage irresponsible driving that was likely to breach the legal requirements of the Highway Code in their ads.<\/p>\n<p>This comes after a Next advert <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/02\/12\/next-advert-banned-featuring-unhealthily-thin-model-22541668\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/02\/12\/next-advert-banned-featuring-unhealthily-thin-model-22541668\/\">was banned earlier this year <\/a>because of a single complaint over how the model looked \u2013 deeming it \u2018irresponsible\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The online ad for the clothing giant featured a model who was described as \u2018unhealthily thin\u2019 and also admitted digitally altering the image.<\/p>\n<p>The camera angle and styling highlighted the slimness of her leg, the ASA said.<\/p>\n<p>The model was sitting on a wooden block and her legs were extended towards the
