Quiver Distribution \/ Courtesy Everett Collection Everett Collection - 2023\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Seann William Scott stars as one of the antagonists (Picture: Everett\/ Rex\/ Shutterstock)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It&#8217;s coming to <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/netflix\/\">Netflix<\/a> in the UK on Friday, and for those who want to watch the first film before diving in, they can do so right now on <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/amazon-prime-video\/\">Prime Video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It sits higher on <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/rotten-tomatoes\/\">the review aggregator<\/a> than Becky, which holds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/becky_2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a 72% score<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In their review, <a href=\"https:\/\/awfj.org\/blog\/2023\/06\/08\/the-wrath-of-becky-sydney-ff-2023-review-by-alexandra-heller-nicholas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AWFJ<\/a> dubbed the film &#8216;delightfully violent&#8217;, adding that it is &#8216;very silly and a whole lot of fun.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The Wrath of Becky delivers satisfying action, as this underestimated heroine makes some terrible people look like absolute fools,&#8217; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/movies\/story\/2023-05-26\/review-wrath-of-becky-lulu-wilson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Los Angeles Times<\/a> said in their review.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rogerebert.com\/festivals\/sxsw-2023-only-the-good-survive-the-wrath-of-becky-it-lives-inside\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RogerEbert.com<\/a> added: &#8216;There\u2019s a charming simplicity to a genre film that can be introduced as \u201cLet\u2019s just kill some fascists!\u201d and Angel &amp; Coote know how to pace and deliver this kind of gut punch of a movie.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, <a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/reviews\/3753612\/the-wrath-of-becky-sxsw-review-killer-teen-isnt-afraid-to-embrace-the-silliness-in-bigger-bloodier-sequel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bloody Disgusting<\/a> wrote: &#8216;Angel and Coote\u2019s playful tonal shift becomes instrumental in the sequel\u2019s success as an entertaining action-horror-comedy romp, and Wilson is more than game in taking Becky less seriously. Quiver Distribution \/ Courtesy Everett Collection Everett Collection - 2023\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t<\/div><figcaption>It comes to Netflix on June 13 (Picture: Everett\/ Rex\/ Shutterstock)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austinchronicle.com\/daily\/sxsw\/2023-03-12\/sxsw-film-review-the-wrath-of-becky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Austin Chronicle<\/a> surmised that Wrath of Becky is a &#8216;bloody good time,&#8217; while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filminquiry.com\/the-wrath-of-becky-2023-review\/\">Film Inquiry<\/a> said it was &#8216;playful but brutal.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/the-wrath-of-becky-movie-lulu-wilson-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Screen Rant<\/a>, Ouija: Origin of Evil star Wilson recalled the &#8216;extremely exciting&#8217; moment she learned a sequel to Becky was happening.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I remember wrapping the first Becky and people being like, &#8220;Oh, it&#8217;s time for a sequel,&#8221; and it felt just like bulls**t to me at the time. It was like, &#8220;You&#8217;re just saying that&#8221;,&#8217; she said.<\/p>\n<p>But when I actually got the call being like, &#8220;Are you down to make the sequel?&#8221; it was incredibly exciting. <\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Of course, I was so down to do that, Becky&#8217;s one of my favorite characters I&#8217;ve ever had the pleasure of playing, and I couldn&#8217;t wait to see where we could take her. <\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I knew that everyone involved creatively would really hear me out on my ideas, and they so did, and it was an incredible opportunity.
