href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/great-british-bake-off\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Celebrity Bake Off <\/a>star was forced to pull out of the <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/channel-4\/\">Channel 4<\/a> show after winding up in hospital following a fall.<\/p>\n<p>On April 13, 2025, TV presenter Gloria Hunniford, 85, actor Jim Howick, 45, comedian Jamali Maddix, 33, and model Ellie Goldstein, 23, entered the tent for the Stand Up to Cancer spin-off.<\/p>\n<p>Under the guidance of new judge Lady <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/01\/31\/new-celebrity-bake-off-judge-caroline-waldegrave-replacing-prue-leith-22470948\/\">Caroline Waldegrave<\/a>, 72, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/01\/30\/dame-prue-leiths-celebrity-bake-off-replacement-confirmed-cast-announced-22460115\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">replaced Dame Prue Leith<\/a>, 85, on the celebrity version, and Paul Hollywood, 59, the four stars whipped up their best baking creation.<\/p>\n<p>But just after completing the final round, Gloria exited the competition as, according to Alison Hammond, she had started to feel unwell.<\/p>\n<p>Gloria later revealed on the Bake Off Instagram that she had to leave the tent before the showstopper because she Glad she was ok,’ wrote Glittermaysiebug. While Louise Brady added: ‘Gloria you were fabulous to watch.’ <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Loose Women panellist Ruth Langford commented: ‘You were wonderful\u2026.your Dad would be very proud of your Magician\u2019s cake I\u2019m sure.’<\/p>\n<p>Co-presenter Noel Fielding, 51, stood in her place and received the feedback on her cake.<\/p>\n<p>As they discussed the celebrities’ culinary talents, baker.<\/p>\n<p>In January, it was announced that Lady Caroline would be taking over from long-time friend Dame Prue on Celebrity Bake Off.<\/p>\n<p>It came after Dame Prue revealed she was taking a <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/03\/13\/dame-prue-leith-84-take-step-back-great-british-bake-off-20453848\/\">break from the celebrity version <\/a>to free up time for other passions.<\/p>\n<p>However, she will remain as a judge on the original and US shows.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018[The one] I\u2019m not doing this year is the celebrity one and it\u2019s mainly because these things are filmed back-to-back the whole way through the summer,\u2019 Dame Prue said on This Morning in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u2018You start in April, and you end in August and honestly, you get no time off. Well done Caroline on your Bake Off debut.\ud83d\udc4f.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Lady Caroline and Dame Prue co-founded Leiths School of Food and Wine, one of the most prestigious and respected cookery schools in the country<\/p>\n<p>The school’s former managing director, Lady Caroline retired in 2009 and became a non-executive director on the board and was also chairman of the Guild of Food Writers for several years.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, she has \u2018focused on imparting her wealth of cookery knowledge\u2019 at Dudwell School, which is located on the site of her family home, Dudwell Field Farm.
