weeks until they can watch a <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2022\/09\/09\/the-handmaids-tale-margaret-atwood-series-to-conclude-with-season-6-17338742\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">masterpiece drama,<\/a> which has already been released in the <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/us-news\/\">US<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They are worried they are going to have to stay off the internet to avoid spoilers for <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/the-handmaids-tale\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">The Handmaid’s Tale<\/a>’s sixth and final season.<\/p>\n<p>Adapted from Margaret Atwood’s book of the same name, the dystopian drama in Gilead \u2013 a totalitarian republic which has taken over the US after a civil war, and enslaves fertile women as child-bearing \u2018handmaids\u2019 for elites.<\/p>\n<p>Viewers have followed the journey of handmaid June (<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/elisabeth-moss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elisabeth Moss<\/a>) for five seasons now \u2013 as she broke free from Gilead to reunite with her husband Luke (O-T Fagbenle) and daughter in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>In the sixth season, June’s ‘unyielding spirit and determination’ pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead, while her Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) tries to reform the republic.<\/p>\n<p>But while The Handmaid’s Tale has already started airing in the US, viewers in the UK will have to wait until Saturday May, 3, when it Oh my life. I just feel like I find new things every time I watch and end up with different perspectives of most of the characters… I just can see the deeper meaning now if that makes sense.’<\/p>\n<p>SG_aka_Nomi penned: ‘I\u2019m on my first rewatch in years because it\u2019s so dark but I\u2019m deep diving into this binge. 3 days in, almost to season 3.
