of Will and Grace has been praised by viewers as ‘downright hilarious’.<\/p>\n<p>Mid-Century Modern, starring <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/matt-bomer\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/matt-bomer\/\">Matt Bomer<\/a>, Nathan Lane and Nathan Lee Graham, follows ‘three best friends – gay gentleman of a certain age.’<\/p>\n<p>The synopsis continues: ‘After an unexpected death [they] decide to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs where the wealthiest one lives with his mother.<\/p>\n<p>‘As a chosen family, they prove that no matter how hard things get, there’s always someone around to remind you it would be better if you got your neck done.’<\/p>\n<p>The comedy show – from Emmy-winning duo Max Mutchnick and David Kohan – has been continuously compared to beloved <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2021\/03\/22\/the-golden-girls-taught-me-the-importance-of-a-chosen-family-14259697\/\">80s sitcom Golden Girls<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It also features the late Linda Lavin (in her last filmed project) and Modern Family icon Jesse Tyler Ferguson who join our three leads as they encounter messy shenanigan after sitcom aesthetic.<\/p>\n<p>‘Mid-Century Modern is really funny. It’s humor is similar to older sitcoms, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2020\/05\/04\/golden-girls-groundbreaking-tv-glad-back-screens-12651722\/\">especially The Golden Girls<\/a>, but it’s also modern in a more relevant way. Apt title. Always a Matt Bomer fan and loved him in this.
