A Norwegian horror thriller film described as ‘legitimately shocking’ and ‘unsettling’ is coming to Amazon Prime Video.
Good Boy, released in 2022, is directed by Viljar Bøe and had its UK premiere at London’s FrightFest the following year.
The warped and sinister tale follows Sigrid (Katrine Lovise Øpstad Fredriksen), who feels she’s hit the jackpot when she meets charismatic millionnaire Christian (Gard Løkke) on a dating app.
As their relationship goes from strength to strength she soon discovers there is one unusual catch that comes with Christian – he lives with a man, Frank (Nicolai Narvesen Lied), who pretends to be his dog.
Sigrid tries to be open-minded but soon unearths the seemingly sinister undertones of their relationship.
Good Boy went down a storm during its run on the festival circuit, and it will soon be available to watch from the, uh, comfort of your home as it arrived on Shudder via Amazon Prime Video on April 7.
It currently sits at a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with many critics hailing its ‘disturbing’ premise and ‘shocking’ revelations.
‘Genuinely uncomfortable and a fantastic portrayal of abusive relationships, both within kink-focused relationships and more mainstream ones, with a closing scene guaranteed to disturb to the core,’ Moving Pictures Film Club said in their review.
CBR wrote: ‘Norwegian horror flick Good Boy features a shocking storyline and plenty of jaw-dropping twists.’
HorrorBuzz surmised Good Boy is a ‘fiendish flick about relationships and power dynamics that leaves the viewer chilled to the bone.’
‘The first two-thirds of the film built up the potential for an ending that both shocks and satisfies its audience, but we get the easy way out,’ Spectrum Culture began.
‘Still worth a watch if you’re into psychological horror, and it’s sure to become a much-barked-about film.’
Strong Female Antagonist added: ‘Part rom-com, part quirky drama, part torture porn, Good Boy pulls us into a bright and unsettling world of ethical depravity, twisting and turning the knife well past the limits of what we think we can endure.’
Speaking to Screen Rant, director Bøe opened up on the unlikely inspirations behind the film, including Audition, 50 Shades of Grey, and Beauty and the Beast.
‘Those three are definitely huge inspirations especially Audition and 50 Shades of Grey,’ he explained.
‘We’re kind of like a mix between those two. When they call for inspiration for the concept, I’m not really sure how it started. I for several years just thought it was fun imagery, a person in a dog costume.’
He continued: ‘Especially movies like Audition and Gone Girl kind of inspired me to make something that kind of twisted with genres and mixed genres. Because a human in a dog costume can be so many things, it can be scary, it can be funny.
‘I thought it would be fun if it was all those things in one movie. So that was kind of what I was going for.’
Good Boy is available to watch via Shudder on Amazon Prime Video on April 7.

MusicDaniel Seavey leans back while tanning on a lounge chair, the bright blue Los Angeles sky framing his highlighted hair. As he moves the phone during our video call, pool water and lush palm trees peek through. “I’ve had one day back home off tour and it’s the perfect day,” he smiles, rarely shifting from a grin and breaking into fits of laughter.
“Choosing optimism” at the start of every day is Seavey’s strategy for living a full existence. “Choosing to take your day on as the glass is half-full can change your life,” he says. But as he digs further into his story — after a decade in the music industry — it’s obvious that Seavey’s countenance doesn’t always reflect his experience. “There was so much going on for a little bit there,” he recalls, “it was really insane.”
When Seavey was 15 years old, he made it to the Top Nine on American Idol before returning back home to Portland after the loss. He never gave up music, though — something the homeschooled preacher’s kid had loved since picking up the violin at age eight. That’s when fate called: a life-changing opportunity in 2016 to co-found the five-piece boy band Why Don’t We.
What happened next was a whirlwind: six billion Global Career Streams, two RIAA Platinum-certified singles, five RIAA Gold-certified singles, two Top 10 albums on the Billboard 100 and sold-out tours across the country. But then things took a turn for the worse.
COVID hit; Seavey’s parents divorced; he witnessed the death of his friend Corey La Barrie in car accident; his mom was diagnosed with cancer. Seavey’s one escape — music — even came under fire, as Why Don’t We was publicly pulled into legal disputes. Why Don’t We accused their manager David Loeffler of “mental, emotional and financial abuse” in a lawsuit aiming to remove his managing abilities. The band broke up without ownership of their music. Seavey filed for bankruptcy. He tried to work on his own music, but the looming legal situation even seeped into his solo potential.
Then in 2023, the star took to Instagram to share that he was finally “free” of the legal battle with his former management, and by September of the same year, the Why Don’t We contract officially came to an end. “When the band split up or went on hiatus at the time, it was really because of all these lawsuits that had stacked up on us,” he says. “And we didn’t see them coming.”
Now, against all odds, Seavey is back to making and sharing his music again. He released his full-length solo debut, Second Wind in early March — a 12-track collection that dips into his rock and pop propensities, written straight from his experience. His headlining tour just kicked off in Dallas, Texas, and fans have been singing back every word of his songs like “Gateway Drug,” “The Older You Get” and “Other People” that he shared live while touring with Benson Boone.
“I feel now more than ever I understand everything happens for a reason,” he says. “I also understand fully that anything can get better. Any scenario can flip on its head at any point.”
How has your tour been? How are you feeling?
It’s been unreal. I’m not going to lie, I was very in my head about everything. This is my first go-around doing this alone, the whole solo career thing. I’m still getting used to the ebbs and flows. You have these big moments, then you might go quiet for a week. It’s been tougher than normal to get used to riding the wave of how entertainment flows. The second I got out on the road, all of that completely dissipated. It’s the best, most obvious reminder of why I actually do this. I just released my album a couple weeks ago, and I think when you’re in the middle of that, there’s so much stuff to do — so many random tasks that it was the best refreshing reminder of what we really do this entertainment thing for. There’s no better feeling than that connection in a room with fans, and they have been showing up and showing out. The shows have been so loud, packed and amazing. No complaints.
That’s such a good point. I always feel that way when I finally go to a great show or have a great chat with an artist, and remember it’s not all about emails.
That is the biggest gift of all time that you can’t take for granted. The other day, even right before I hit the tour, I asked myself, “What would you be doing this minute if you weren’t in the middle of an album release?” I was stressed out with everything and nothing sounded better than what I’m doing right now. So who cares about the workload of it? And anything you do in life is going to require that. I feel really blessed to do what I love.
Let’s chat about Second Wind. There are so many levels in the title of the album itself, reflecting the place you are and were in your life. Can we time-travel a bit to the moment you decided to pursue a solo career after having been in a band?
I don’t think I ever honestly had that moment. I was making a lot of my own music while I was still in the band, more as a hobby. I know it’s cliché, but it was just a journal entry for my own fun, weird, quirky music that would never see the light of day. When the band split up or went on hiatus at the time, it was really because of all these lawsuits that had stacked up on us, and we didn’t see them coming. We didn’t have time to plan our own solo endeavors. For me at that moment, I asked myself, “Do you want to keep doing this?” And, of course, I’d do just about anything to keep doing it.
I felt lucky enough to already have some songs I had made that felt good enough to put out. But if I’m being honest, even when I released my first songs, I was so critical of my own music that I didn’t think much of it. Part of that was honestly the industry we grew up in, the side of things we saw. I really did not have any confidence when I put it out. I can’t even put into words the amount of validation that first release gave me. It was existentially insane for me to see. It flipped my whole world upside down. And from that day forward, it felt like a totally different job. Both jobs were fun in their own regard, but being in a boy band and being a solo artist are two completely different journeys and jobs, and I loved that. I have grown to really love being a solo artist as well for different reasons. It’s been so therapeutic to actually put out songs.
Can we chat about that first song? The one that made you feel like you were on the right path?
“Can’t We Pretend That We’re Good?” was definitely the song I was the most proud of. It was also a bit weirder, sonically. I personally loved that about it. I actually remember right before I dropped it, having a couple of conversations with the label that it was too weird — just the classic “it’s not pop enough” conversation. I remember saying, “I would rather bet on myself and all the weirdness that comes with that, than let my personal music become something other than what I am.” I honestly saw that as a selfish move for myself. Something I’ve always wanted to do is put something out I personally love — void all other opinions. My expectations were that this wasn’t going to amount to anything, but it’s going to be really therapeutic for me, and that’s all I wanted or expected it to be. I wanted to connect with people, but I didn’t expect it. And the fans ate it up and did so many amazing things with it that I didn’t expect at all. It was such a magic moment in my life. It felt like my mindset did a complete 180. I was really down in the dumps about myself, and it was so validating.
Let’s talk about the process. You’ve talked about what was going on behind the scenes legally, but I’m curious about how you protected your drive while going through that?
My admiration for music allowed me to separate it from everything else. It’s the place where I can detach from reality and have fun. You can hear that on a lot of this album. It’s funny, because my life was probably in the worst state it had ever been in, and this album feels like a light summer breeze. This album feels like a kid being forced by life to grow up and still trying to hang on to just being a kid. It’s really important for me to make my music fun and light, and that’s who I am as a person. Making music has allowed me to hang on to that side of myself in a lot of ways. While my life was going completely crazy, I had the gift of still being able to go into a studio every day with awesome writers and producers, and enjoy making a song for a couple of hours.
There are a couple of moments that were hard enough experiences in life that I couldn’t avoid not writing about them. There’s a song on there, “If I Ever Get To Heaven,” that definitely deals with some harsher reality, and even “The Older You Get,” talks a bit more introspectively about my viewpoint on life, and getting older and the hardships of it. The initial start of the album, I was making a lot of sadder songs. But that didn’t feel like Daniel, it didn’t feel like me. The next day after I came to that conclusion, I did start telling myself, “Take this day at the studio as a selfish moment for yourself to just have fun and let loose again.” That’s my favorite part of music and I know my fans also love that about my music. They like to have a good time. I’m really proud of where the album landed.
Of the new songs that you are sharing live, which are resonating the most?
I have been having so much fun performing “Sleeping With The Lights On.” That shocked me, because it felt a little less obvious as a single. It felt like an album song and it’s become a fan favorite. Our first show was in Dallas, and I had no idea how much they really loved that one. The second it came on, the volume doubled. They were screaming that one. That makes me really happy because, personally, I love leaning into more of a rock sound, and it’s a little less pop than a lot of the other songs on there.
What were some of the more emotional challenges and blocks when it came to sharing this album with the world?
I was really blessed growing up to have a good upbringing. My dad was a pastor and my mom’s amazing, and they both raised me well. I had a problem-free childhood up until obviously joining the band, things got bumpy. In that whole interim of the band, when it came to my personal life, things were very intact. There was such a solid foundation. No one had passed away, no one was ill. And right around when COVID hit, it was almost like things every year were stacking up and they all decided to spill out in that one period of two years. My best friend Corey passed away in a car accident, and I actually pulled him out of the car, which was… I had never experienced anything like that. Then my parents divorced, my mom got cancer, my band broke up. We were in lawsuits. COVID is happening, and the list just kept going on. I went bankrupt. It just felt like everything was falling apart.
The silver lining in my life became my music, and that really was my opportunity to escape and feel good for a second. I was going through my day doing one big breathing exercise. It was a lot to take on. I would even call my mom to talk through some of it and figure it out. She knew to tell me to go sit at my piano for 20 minutes. And sure enough, that really would calm me down.
That’s unimaginable. How do you feel now? Has life gotten more balanced? Or do you feel like you’ve just learned to flow through it?
I can’t believe how much better things have gotten. It excites me because there’s so much more to write about. Now seeing the other side of things I feel blessed to have so much of a story to tell and so much to talk about now, and genuinely be an example for other people of: look, it really does get better. It’s really exciting for me in a weird way, now that I’m past it. I feel oddly grateful to have all that hardship and experience, to be able to relate with someone when they tell me what they’ve been through. Prior to that, if a fan told me they were anxious, I’d be like, “Get over it, you just gotta play the damn piano for 10 minutes. I’m telling you, you’ll feel better.” And it’s so much more than that. Now more than ever I understand everything happens for a reason. I also understand fully that anything can get better. Any scenario can flip on its head at any point. I also understand that a lot of life is out of my control, and I’ve been trying to — in every facet of my life now — accept that there’s only so much you can control. Choosing optimism at the start of your day can change your life.
Second Wind has been out in the world for almost a month and you’re about to head back out on tour so more fans can experience it live. When people hear it for the first time, how do you hope they feel on the way home?
The title really says it all. I hope they gain a second wind from the music — that’s what it gave me. I want to give that right back to them. I want them to leave feeling light as air, warm and happy. That’s what I want to do with my music. That’s what I’ve always wanted to do. This album was a big reminder of who I am and always have been. I just want to spread love and joy. I don’t care how tacky that is. That’s what I want to do and love to do.
What are you most excited to share with fans next?
I haven’t stopped writing since the album came out. One of my favorite songs I’ve ever made I finished a week after the album was already turned in so it didn’t make the album. It’s called “Eden.” I’ve been in the back of the bus just writing every night, like I always do. So definitely a lot more music to come, a lot more shows to come. Honestly, I am just hoping to do this as long as I can. It’s what I love.

GamingWith only a week to go until the first of the Nintendo Switch 2 live events, fans have spotted that preparations have begun.
People were already obsessed with the Nintendo Switch 2 before Nintendo formally announced the thing, but things got even more out of control when details started leaking at the end of 2024.
The January reveal only heightened fans’ excitement and while Nintendo has kept quiet on the specifics, plenty have made educated guesses about the Switch 2’s price tag and release date, with June 2025 being the prevailing theory.
Some lucky individuals will get to go hands-on with the new console through upcoming live events, which Nintendo is confirmed to have begun setting up, at least in New York.
The proof comes from video footage posted to TikTok and then shared on the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit, which is taken from outside the Center415 building, where Nintendo will be holding its New York event.
The inside is decorated with Switch 2 branding and there are large wooden crates that may be full of Switch 2 consoles, if not other paraphernalia and equipment that’s yet to be set up.
This is enough to get some fans excited, if only because it’s a reminder that the Switch 2 is inching closer to release. Or at least that more official details will emerge once event attendees get their hands on the console.
As a reminder, the New York event is one of the first to be taking place, alongside an event in Paris, from April 4 to April 6, which is the weekend after the big Switch 2 showcase Nintendo has scheduled.
A bunch of these will be taking place worldwide, including one in London from April 11 to April 13. They’re set to run all the way into June, which lends credence to the idea that the Switch 2 will be out this the summer.
If you’re wondering how you can attend the event, sadly the answer is that you can’t. Not unless you’ve already been invited. Nintendo is keeping attendance limited, having only offered fans the chance to register for in January. So, only those who were selected will be allowed in.
However, you can add yourself to a waitlist in the event someone cancels, and their ticket becomes available. Some people have tried to sell their tickets on eBay but there’s no point spending any money on them since Nintendo states the tickets are non-transferable, meaning you’d be denied entry.
Before any further Switch 2 reveals, fans have a new Nintendo Direct dedicated to the original Switch to get through. It’s airing on Thursday at 2pm GMT.
It’ll likely to have new info to share for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which is scheduled for a 2025 launch, but other rumours/theories include a Kirby: Planet Robobot remaster and an announcement for the long rumoured re-releases of The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

TVScooby-Doo fans have issued a plea to Netflix after the streaming giant announced an eight-episode live-action remake of the iconic cartoon.
Following more than 12 animated series and three theatrical films, one of pop culture’s most recognisable and entertaining characters is making his return.
Written by Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg, the new series will take a look at how the cowardly dog and mystery-solving gang first got together.
Across eight episodes, Netflix announced that old friends Shaggy and Daphne will team up at summer camp with Velma and Fred to solve the mystery of a lonely, lost Great Dane puppy who may have witnessed a supernatural murder.
Commenting on Reddit, literallyacactus said: ‘I’ve been wanting a more mature scooby doo series for a while please be good.’

Hylianhaxorus added: ‘This I’m down for. Please just either make it feel like authentic scooby doo or like the Gunn written live action films though. Please don’t have it resemble the made for TV live action movies.’
DevoidHT also wrote: ‘If there isn’t a Matthew Lillard cameo I don’t want it.’
Unique-Horror-9244 added: ‘My childhood omg. loved the movie. I need them to lean into the silliness.’
Responding to the news on X, @Marshmorrow1212 said: ‘Omg guys the lonely lost Great Dane puppy is Scooby. Zoinks!!’
Based on characters from Hanna-Barbera, the latest show is a ‘modern reimagining’ of the iconic show.
The series will be executive produced by Rosenberg and Appelbaum, as well as Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman and André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner.
Appelbaum’s previous credits include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while Rosenberg has writing credits on both Jumanji films and Venom.
Both writers have also written Citadel together as well as High Fidelity, starring Zoë Kravitz.
Peter Friedlander, vice president of scripted series at Netflix, said in a statement: ‘We’re excited to bring Scooby-Doo to TV as a live-action series for the first time.
‘The beloved franchise has had an impact on pop culture that is undeniable – it’s rich with universal themes of friendship that generations of fans have long embraced.
‘Together with creative powerhouses Berlanti Productions and Midnight Radio, we’re committed to delighting longtime fans and opening up a world of groovy adventures for a new era of meddling kids.’
Clancy Collins White, president of creative affairs at Warner Bros. Television, added, ‘It’s no mystery why audiences continue to love these iconic characters after more than a half century.
‘We’re excited for a new generation to discover Mystery Inc. And we’re grateful to our partners at Netflix for the opportunity.’
Scooby-Doo will be available to stream on Netflix.

Remember Monday, the group representing the UK at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, have admitted that scoring points at the competition is not their priority.
There isn’t long to go until Europe’s campest singing competition returns, taking place this year in Basel, Switzerland after Swiss musician Nemo’s victory in 2024.
Speculation is mounting over which country will be the frontrunner, with most recent odds from bookies giving the UK 4-1 chances of finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard.
This might be seen as a setback to some, but Remember Monday – who first found fame on The Voice UK – aren’t letting the latest predictions bring down their morale, as they explained to Metro.
When asked how they feel about their odds slipping – currently boasting 40-1 chances of winning, according to bookmaker Coral – the musical trio are deciding not to focus on the possibility of a low score, after Olly Alexander scored a mere 46 points in 2024.
‘I didn’t know that,’ Holly-Anne Hull said regarding Remember Monday’s odds going down, while Charlotte Steele remarked: ‘I didn’t tell you guys.’
Sitting between her two bandmates, Lauren Byrne added: ‘I’ve been blissfully ignorant.’
Holly-Anne then admitted that they’re ‘making the conscious decision’ not to keep an eye on the odds, as they ‘cannot have their live performance affected in any way’.
‘We’re not doing it for the points,’ she continued. ‘We’re doing it to watch that video back and be so proud of what we’ve done at that stage.’
Despite the continued attention placed on the bookmakers’ predictions, Charlotte stressed that they ‘don’t decide the winner’ of the Song Contest.
‘You look at the history within Eurovision, the amount of winners that were like 20th in the bookies’ bets. It doesn’t mean anything,’ she stated, prompting Lauren to jokingly quip: ‘You hear that bookies?’
However, Holly-Anne added that she has a further personal stake in the outcome of the competition… as her husband has placed a bet on them winning.
‘My husband has bet – we’re right at the bottom – he’s bet that we’ll win. So do it for him,’ she shared.
Even though former Years and Years singer Olly didn’t achieve the result he was hoping for last year, he still offered his successors some advice before this year’s contest – to ‘get a good therapist’.
‘Listen, we’ve had good therapists for years,’ Lauren told us. ‘The lucky thing is, we’re kind of each other’s therapists as well.’
The singer added that Olly had reached out to them and sent them a ‘lovely message’ saying that he was ‘so excited’ for them as they embark on their Eurovision journey.
‘He was like, “If you want any advice, just reach out.” So we’re really grateful to Olly.’
The Eurovision Song Contest takes place from Tuesday May 13 to Saturday May 17.

The profile continues: ‘I’m a working man looking for a new employment opportunity. I keep my head down and my nose clean, but when the powerful hurt the powerless, I can’t stand by and do nothing.
‘That’s when my shadowy past and extensive military training come into play, and I prove to be an exceptionally skilled killer, uniquely qualified to take down whatever underworld organization or villainous bureaucrat gets in my way.
‘I’m Jason Statham and I am #OpenToWork.’
His top skills are listed as: ‘Weapons handling, hand-to-hand combat, construction management, driving very fast, and protecting the hive.’
Fans loved the marketing ploy and took to social media to joke about the profile.

‘This is so cool and hilarious especially with the beekeeper roles,’ said JKLM0521.
‘Wow, I just thought he was an Actor!’ joked PogDigital.

Adolescence star Owen Cooper shared the reaction his schoolmates had after his dramatic haircut for his breakout role.
The 15-year-old actor is the lead star of the most-watched Netflix limited series ever, notching up a whopping 66 million views in two weeks as it tops charts and sparks national conversation.
The rising star plays 13-year-old Jamie, a schoolboy accused of murdering his classmate, Katie Leonard, as we watch the fallout of this horrifying incident.
After becoming one of the most talked about shows on 2025, Netflix released Owen’s impressive audition tape for his debut role, with his hair noticeably longer than it is in the show.
Co-star Erin Docherty pointed out the huge fringe he used to have in a reaction video, joking: ‘Oh my god, look at you! Why is your hair doing that?’

To which the Wuthering Heights star replied: ‘Because that’s what I… that’s what my head used to look like.’

Now, he has revealed that Erin isn’t the only one who plenty to say about his haircut, in a new interview on This Morning.
He appeared on the show with his co-star Faye Marsay and hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard to discuss the show and its ongoing success.
When Ben said: ‘When Owen sat down I said “you’ve got to tell me how you’ve managed to cut your fringe off” because all the teenage boys at the moment including mine have this ridiculous thing going on at the front’ popping three fingers on his forehead.
He added: ‘And you were saying it was for the role?’
Owen replied: ‘It was for the role and it does really fit the role as well.’
Ben said: ‘But you’ve got to go back to school on Monday without your floppy bits?’ to which Owen replied: ‘No I’ve been in school without all this and there was about a week where I got taken the mick out of.’
Luckily it didn’t last, as he added: ‘But that was about it, they’ve all got over it now.’ Before quickly shooting down Faye’s suggestion to get a clip-on attachment.
He has had a tutor while filming Emerald Fennel’s Wuthering Heights where he plays a young Heathcliff.
The actor briefly reflected on the experience during his chat, adding: ‘I see [Margot Robbie] all the time but I don’t have any scenes with her. She is really nice.
‘Filming wise it’s fine, it’s a lot different but it is going really well.’
He will return to school this Monday, a prospect he is primed and prepped for no matter the circumstance.
‘I wanna see my mates but it will either be a really good day or bad day,’ he posed to which Faye reassured him it would be great.
Faye, who played DS Misha Frank, had nothing but praise for Owen’s acting skills. She even recalled one moment when she showed Owen a picture of the victim Katie Leonard and mistakenly called her ‘Katie Miller’ to which Owen effortlessly replied with a correction.
It’s not the only moment he improvised during the show. When he appeared on The One Show a few weeks ago he revealed that the moment he yawned in episode three was an accident brilliantly covered up by Erin who simply asked: ‘Am I boring you?’.
And in another moment that episode, he managed to correct Erin’s slip up when she called an Instagram page a ‘Facebook page’ instead – with Owen taking the opportunity to make Jamie shame her.
In an interview with Metro, Owen opened up about ‘the most challenging part’ of playing Jamie.
He said: ‘The most challenging part for me was I did episode three first, and it was just trying to get into Jamie’s head about girls and stuff,’ Owen said, referencing the episode where Jamie is having a one-on-one conversation with psychologist Briony Ariston (Erin).
‘That aspect of it was a bit difficult at first, but then I got comfortable with it, and then with the help of Stephen and Phil [director Philip Barantini] and Erin, they helped me into it. But I’ll probably say his view on other people is the most challenging part of Jamie to play.’
As the show continues to dominate the Netflix charts, time will tell if Netflix decides to turn it into an anthology series, capitalising on its success.
Adolescence is available to watch on Netflix now.

The production company behind Adolescence was Plan B, which was founded in 2001 by Brad, Brad Grey, Kristin Hahn and Jennifer Aniston. The actor is now the sole owner of the company, which has been behind acclaimed movies and shows including 12 Years a Slave, Moonlight, The Underground Railroad and 3 Body Problem.
Now Adolescence’s director Philip Barantini has detailed just how hands on Brad was.
Speaking on The Rest is Entertainment podcast, he explained: ‘When we were pitching to Plan B, they kept saying, “We’re just waiting for Brad’s schedule”. I thought, “It can’t be that Brad”. But sure enough, there he was on the Zoom — such a lovely human being and a remarkably hands on producer.
‘He gave feedback, shared ideas, and was so engaged throughout the process.
‘He couldn’t visit the shoot because of his F1 project, but having someone like Brad Pitt involved — and so invested — was incredible. And he’s, yeah, I mean, I’d love to work with him again.’
Jack previously shared a hilarious anecdote about working with Brad.
‘I’m always early on a Zoom call and he’s always early on a Zoom call too,’ he told Deadline.
‘So, we had 40 seconds where I just stared at this beautiful man and he just said: “Hi, I’m Brad”.
‘And I was just like, “Yeah, I know”. And then other people joined,’ he told Deadline.
Adolescence is streaming on Netflix.

FilmFans are totally baffled by the revelation that the Passion of Christ is coming back for a sequel.
Directed and co-written by Mel Gibson, the 2004 film The Passion of Christ was a smash hit that made $612.1 million (£473.7 million) at the box office against a budget of $31 million (£30 million).
The film starred Jim Caviezel as Jesus and focuses on the hours leading to Jesus’ crucifixion and ending with a brief description of his resurrection.
It has just been announced that filming for the new film will begin in August, with many fans only just learning that the film was getting a sequel.
Despite the first film being a total smash hit, many expressed major concern about a sequel.
Namely questioning how on earth the story could be continued with the same cast 21 years after the first film.
‘I can’t understand why part 2. What are they trying to explain if the whole story was told in the original movie,’ said cubanmom_8997.
‘He already got resurrected once, what’s the plot this time?’ said debayo_xx.
‘There ain’t no way, what more to the story could you possibly need to put into a film,’ said CouchesLLC.
Other fans rightly speculated that the film would be focusing on Jesus’s resurrection, but with many asking how this would work with a significantly older cast, considering the resurrection took place three days after the crucifixion.
‘After more than 23 years, will he still look the same. Jim Caviezel will have to pull this off one way or the other because he’ll surely look older now,’ said MrChikay.
‘Dang! Took them a lot longer than 3 days to make a sequel,’ said colin_gladman.
‘I know it’s about the resurrection, but…. I just struggle to understand what the entertainment factor would be in that part of the story?’ said MovieMediaX.
Fans also pointed out that another glaring problem was that Jesus was still being played by a white actor.
‘Why is he not Arab. Jesus is Arab,’ said Micky1_Bang.
‘Why is there a white man portraying Jesus? (Who was born in the Middle East btw)’ said andrygr7ve.
‘They still refuse to make Christ the way he’s supposed to look lol,’ said AWALBAYAREA.
The star-studded original cast included Maia Morgenstern as Mary, the mother of Jesus, Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene, and Christo Jivkov as John.
As Caviezel has been confirmed to return to the role, it is speculated that the rest of the cast is set to follow suit for this blockbuster.
Speaking to Joe Rogan on his podcast, Gibson spoke about the upcoming sequel and hopes for a 2026 release date.
‘I’m hoping next year sometime. There’s a lot required because it’s an acid trip. I’ve never read anything like it,’ he said.
‘It’s about finding the way in that’s not cheesy or too obvious,’ he said. ‘I think I have ideas about how to do that and how to evoke things and emotions in people from the way you depict it and the way you shoot it. So I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. It’s not going to be easy and it’s going to require a lot of planning and I’m not wholly sure I can pull it off to tell you the truth, it’s super ambitious. But I’ll take a crack at it because that’s what you got to do, right, walk up to the plate, right?’
Speaking to ComicBook.com, he also teased how he could bridge a gap between both films after more than two decades.
‘I have ways of dealing with that, because 20 years ago is [supposed to be] three days later,’ he coyly shared. ‘So it has its own peculiar set of problems, which I think I can solve.’
Since the release of the Passion of Christ, Gibson has gone on to direct Apocalypto, Hacksaw Ridge, and Flight Risk – which was torn to shreds by critics after its release earlier this year.

TVScotty T has reportedly been axed from Geordie Shore after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of cocaine.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner – full name Scott Timlin – who returned earlier this year for season 25 won’t be back to film the new series which kicks off later this spring, insiders have now claimed.
The TV personality, 36, pled guilty last month to two counts of driving with a controlled drug above the specified limit.
The city’s magistrates court heard he had 32 microgrammes [of cocaine] per litre of blood in his system while driving his Land Rover Discovery in October last year in Newcastle.
This is well above the legal limit of 10 microgrammes. He was also found with 800 microgrammes of BZE per litre of blood, which is above the 50 microgrammes legal limit. He was ultimately fined £330 and banned from driving for a year.
A source told The Sun: ‘Scotty T will not be back for the next series of Geordie Shore, which starts filming later this spring.
‘While the Geordie Shore cast has never been expected to be squeaky clean, bosses couldn’t stand by his recent off-screen antics.
‘At the end of the day, it’s not a good look for the show or MTV if they endorse cast members who drive whilst under the influence of illegal drugs.’
The source added that if he ‘cleans up his act’ there is a ‘chance he could return in the future’. Until then ‘the show is moving forward without him.’
‘They had no choice but to not ask him back for the next run. If he cleans up his act, there is always the chance he could return in the future, but right now, the show is moving forward without him.’
Timlin joined the Geordie Shore cast in 2012 but was axed initially in 2018 after he was caught snorting a ‘suspicious white powder’. He returned once more in 2022 before his last appearance in the latest season.
In 2019, the reality star opened up to The Sun about his relationship with drugs, and shared that he had gone to rehab.
‘When I got famous on Geordie Shore, everything was being thrown your way – booze, drugs and women.
‘While the show was on air, I’d be doing club personal appearances every night and I started taking cocaine to cope. I used to be completely anti-drugs, anti-smoking and despise all of that. But I fell into that lifestyle,’ he said at the time.
Timlin made a dramatic return to the show overseas.
An insider told The Sun last year: ‘Scotty’s been in weeks of talks and is now days away from signing on to officially rejoin the cast.
‘He really missed the show and knows it was his own fault he had to leave.
‘The cast all still love him so they’re so happy he’s set to return. It means next series will be incredible – even though he’s done some stupid things in the past, he’s fun TV.’
Bosses had also reportedly warned him ‘to ruin it like he did last time.’
The new season is set in Thailand.
During Kylie Christie’s stag do, Scotty makes his comeback. ‘As the group prepare for a banging night in Bangkok and a ludicrous stag in Koh Samui, no one is quite ready for the return of original fan favourite – Turbo T [Scotty T!],’ the show synopsis teases.
‘Can the Land of Smiles dry the tears of Cyprus and reunite the family? And how will the cast react when Scotty T appears after a long hiatus from the show?’
Scotty won Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, at the height of his fame.
But in 2018 he was axed from Geordie Shore and a year later was declared bankrupt with debt of £147,000.
‘Scott Timlin did not fully cooperate with the bankruptcy proceedings and so his discharge has been suspended indefinitely until he does,’ an Insolvency Service spokesperson said at the time. He was banned from running a business by the UK government.
Metro has reached out to Scotty T’s representatives and MTV for comment.
